Our group is talk about the campaign of market forces.The Market Forces believes that the banks, superannuation funds and governments that have custody of our money should use itto protect not damageour environment.Market forces work exposes the institutions that are financing environmentally destructive projects and help Australians hold these institutions accountable. We work with the community to prevent investment in projects that would harm the environment and drive global warming.

Market Forces is proud to be an affiliate project of Friends of the Earth Australia and a member of the BankTrack international network, connecting us with passionate campaigners, environmental issue experts and advocates of environmentally sustainable behaviour from the finance sector.

The vision of this organization is a future where institutions invest with a high degree of respect for the environment, utilising the money to deliver solutions to major environmental issues, and where the community holds to account the custodians of their money to ensure it is used to benefit the environment.

The market forces is a friend of the environment and therefore believes that governments, banks and other multinationals should not use their influence to damage the environment. Through market forces institutions that have been damaging the environment have been identified. Such institutions have been asked to show environmental sustainability while the government has been cautioned over its actions of funding environmentally destructive projects. We do not work alone because sustainability is an individual initiative. Environmental sustainability starts with us as individuals and then spread to the rest of the community. We work with the communities to identify and stop projects that harm the environment. For that reason, Market Forces works in collaboration with other stakeholders like the BankTrack international network and Friends of earth Australia. The two institutions have played a huge role of connecting Market Forces with special supporters who facilitate environmental campaigns demanding sustainable environmental behavior within the finance sector.

We have a vision which is to invest with a high degree of respect for the environment. For that reason, the finance sector is supposed to offer solutions to the major environmental challenges we face. In addition, the community is supposed to be held accountable and custodians of their money to benefit their immediate environment. Multinationals have been accused of destroying the environment. That is because they use their influence to woe the government and other investors. However, measures have been in place especially with other environmentalists to reduce carbon emission in the atmosphere. Market Forces has been educating the communities on how to be accountable and to protect the environment. Multinationals, banks and governments have also been subjected to accountability by ensure that they make public their carbon footprint. Through that consumers are able to identify the types of companies they are willing to associate themselves with and support. Companies are supposed to reduce their carbon emission and that should be tractable from the carbon foot print of the company. In addition, banks should be able to show the public and its citizens on how the finances have been utilized to protect the environment and not to damage it.
